Information sheets: consumer credit

Consumer credit firms can download the information sheets to accompany arrears and default notices.

Lenders must include a copy of the relevant information sheet when notifying  a consumer that they are in arrears or default. This is required by the Consumer Credit Act 1974 (section 86A).

These information sheets are intended to help consumers by telling them about their rights and responsibilities, and where they can get help.

The sheets are available in English and Welsh and can be printed in colour or mono.

Each information sheet is available in PDF format as:

  • A4 colour and mono for web
  • CMYK colour and mono with crop marks and bleeds for print (for professional printers)

If you want your print supplier to add a bar code, please insert it on  the footer of the front page.

Lenders must use the information sheets below rather than any previously provided by the Office of Fair Trading.

We can provide copies of the available information sheets in alternative formats (such as Braille, large print or audiotape) on request.
